Classifying Animals and Plants
Can I "snap" with the picture of a bird and a spider?
Peng Yu is all ready to "snap".
Great minds think alike.
Smiling in front of the camera before we get ready to battle it out.
The kids had a great time playing Snap with their friends as they learnt how to classify various animals and plants according to their characteristics.

A Visit to Heritage Room
Looking at the report books, attendance books and trophies used in the past...
Looking at the timeline of NYPS...
Looking at the ex-principals of Nanyang...
Looking at the timeline of NYPS...
The kids went to the Heritage Room to learn more about the history of Nanyang. Even though the display is written in Chinese, the kids tried their best to decipher what is being presented. They then did a word search on the history of NYPS.

It is our great honour to be part of this exciting project launched by NParks titled 'The Man Who Planted Trees'. Our Collage pupils had a meaningful and memorable moment this morning at the Singapore Botanic Gardens (Botany Centre) planting seedlings onto the structure of a five-metre-tall man. This topiary work is a central figure and will be displayed at the festival at Suntec Singapore.

To Nanyang With Love - Art Exhibition
The Nanyang Alumni Association, Nanyang Primary and Nanyang Girls’ High School are going to organise a fund raising art event for Nanyang Primary Indoor Sports Hall and other construction projects. The art exhibition will be held at The ARTrium, MICA Building from 25th to 28th March 2010.
Other than having art work for sale at the exhibition, there is also a ‘Birthday Calendar’ available for sale at $50 each. This calendar is not a conventional time-bound calendar. It is one that allows you or your child to note down the birthdays of loved ones. The calendar is filled with lovely graphics and contains pictures of artworks painstakingly created by pupils and teachers of Nanyang Primary school as well as by the Nanyang Schools Alumni Association. As such, this calendar will serve as a precious momento for your child, even after he/she leaves the school.
Below are pictures to provide you with a glimpse of what this ‘Birthday Calendar’ looks like. We really hope you can support us in this fund raising art event by purchasing a copy of the calendar.
To show your support, just fill up the Order Form which will be given together with a letter by tomorrow. Payments to be made by cheque made payable to 'Nanyang Primary School'. Generous donations above the listed price of $50 is most appreciated and we really thank you for your support!
