The kids started on their first Problem Based Learning (PBL) this week with their P4 Collage group members. They were supposed to prepare their family on their move to Japan, Tokyo. The kids presented their information in Powerpoint slides and they will be doing a presentation on certain portion of the slides in Mandarin. They also worked on an information report on one of the natural disasters that they may face in Japan. They also tried their hands on currency converter website and did a comparison on the prices of items between SGD and Yen.

Sentosa Trip
When we set foot in Sentosa; and walking towards the beach, the sky was overcast. I wished that it would remain that way throughout the outdoor activities but as you would have guessed, a golden glow soon spread across the sky. The scorching sun shone mercilessly down on us. Despite the heat, many pupils participated in the treasure hunt and sandcastle competition with much excitement and joy.

Understanding the National Anthem
Mr Mohd shared with the kids the reasons of having a national anthem and some of the common words that were sung wrongly were highlighted to the kids. The kids were tickled by the fact on how ridiculous the national anthem would sound if the words are sung wrongly. Then, the P3 Collage kids had an opportunity to have a friendly singing competition with P4 Collage kids. After a tough decision, our P3 Collage kids did us proud. They sang the loudest and with accuracy. Well done, kids!!! =)
