BINGO

P3K - Tasha & Shane Qi (Left) P3J - Rebecca & Alessandra (Right)

The above are the winners for the Bingo game. This activity highlighted the vocabulary that pupils had learnt. The pupils carefully selected nine words out of the list of words I flashed on the visualiser, verbalising each word as it was being drawn and checking if they had the word in any of the nine boxes. Pupils were given a token each for 3-word bingo and 9-word bingo.

Sole-searching vs Soul-searching

From the above newspaper cutting, pupils were told to reflect and respond to four questions posed by teacher.

Below are some interesting responses taken from their journal entries:

1) He thought he could get away scot-free.
2) Park should do some soul-searching.
3) There is no shortcut to success.
4) His intention to grow the shoe business was right but his act was
wrong.

Sentosa Trip

When we set foot in Sentosa; and walking towards the beach, the sky was overcast. I wished that it would remain that way throughout the outdoor activities but as you would have guessed, a golden glow soon spread across the sky. The scorching sun shone mercilessly down on us. Despite the heat, many pupils participated in the treasure hunt and sandcastle competition with much excitement and joy.

The kids participating in coming out with an overview on multiplication.

4 teachers from Beijing Zhong Guan Chun were invited to observe Maths lessons at 3J. I started the lessons with an overview of what multiplication means to the kids and then asked the kids to give me examples of items that they can find in the real world using the multiplication facts from 6, 7, 8 and 9. Then the kids proceeded on to fold an origami that consists of multiplication facts from 6 times table to help them learn the facts in a fun way.
